Personal pronouns

I ⲁⲛⲟⲕ

ⲁⲛⲟⲕ is the Coptic pronoun for singular first person “I” - examples:
+ ⲧⲁϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ϯϯ ̀ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ = My peace I will give to you
+ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ϯⲁⲛⲁⲥⲧⲁⲥⲓⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲡⲓⲱⲛϧ = I am the resurrection and the life

ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ is the Coptic pronoun for “you” (as masculine singular second-person) - examples:
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ Ⲡⲓⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲟⲥ ⲡ̀ϣⲏⲣⲓ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ = You are the Christ, the son of God
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲕ ⲡⲉ ⲡⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲁⲛⲛⲁϩϯ ⲉ̀ⲣⲟⲕ = You are our God, we believed in you

+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟ ⲑ̀ⲙⲁⲩ ⲙ̀Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ = You are the mother of God

He ⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ

ⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ is the Coptic pronoun for “he” (as masculine singular third-person) - examples:
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ ⲡⲉ Ⲫ̀ⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲓⲟϯ = He is the God of our fathers
+ ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲉⲧⲁⲓϯⲱⲙⲥ ⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ϥ̀ⲛⲁⲉⲙⲥ ⲑⲏⲛⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲟⲩⲡⲛⲉⲩⲙⲁ ⲉϥⲟⲩⲁⲃ = I have baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit

She ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲥ

ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲥ is the Coptic pronoun for “she” (as feminine singular third-person) - examples:
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲥ ⲧⲉ ϯⲟⲩⲣⲱ = She is the queen
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲟⲥ ⲧⲉ ⲧ̀ϣⲉⲣⲓ ̀ⲛⲒⲱⲁⲕⲓⲙ = She is the daughter of Joachim

We ⲁⲛⲟⲛ

ⲁⲛⲟⲛ is the Coptic pronoun for plural first person “We” - examples:
+ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϧⲁ ⲛⲓⲭⲣⲓⲥⲧⲓⲁⲛⲟⲥ = We, the Christians
+ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ϩⲱⲛ ⲧⲉⲛⲧⲱⲡϩ ⲉⲑⲣⲉⲛϣⲁϣⲛⲓ ⲉⲩⲛⲁⲓ = We also entreat so that we win mercy

ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ is the Coptic pronoun for “you” (as plural second-person) - examples:
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲡⲉ ⲫ̀ⲟⲩⲱⲓⲛⲓ ⲙ̀ⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ = You are the light of the world
+ ⲧⲱⲃϩ ⲟⲩⲛ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⲙ̀ⲡⲁⲓⲣⲏϯ ⲡⲉⲛⲓⲱⲧ ⲉⲧϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲓⲫⲏⲟⲩⲓ ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲧⲟⲩⲃⲟ ⲛ̀ϫⲉ ⲡⲉⲕⲣⲁⲛ = Therefore you pray in this manner: Our Father who is in heaven

+ ⲱⲟⲩⲛⲓⲁⲧⲟⲩ ⲛ̀ⲛⲓⲛⲁⲏⲧ ϫⲉ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲟⲩⲛⲁⲛⲁⲓ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ = Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy
+ ⲛ̀ⲑⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ ⲛⲓⲙⲉⲛⲣⲁϯ ⲛ̀ⲧⲉ Ⲡⲉⲛϭⲟⲓⲥ = They are the beloved of Our Lord
